Recently it does seem like every second person on the internet is making collages, usually in moleskin notebooks, and because of this the whole idea of collages has started to feel a bit boring. In spite of how common place collage has become, these fashion collages created by artist Ashkan Honarvar, photographer Yin Chao and editor Ujin Zhao for Chinese fashion magazine Vision, feel very fresh and exciting. I love the use of such a variety of textures and how meticulously the images have been created. It probably won't surprise you to learn that these images were inspired by Alexander McQueen, I love the beautifully created references to his use of silhouettes and also to his obsessive interest in death and nature.
